You have been subjected to violence and want to file a complaint

You have been subjected to violence and want to file a complaint.

You can contact your nearest police or gendarmerie station or prosecutor’s office. If you cannot leave the house, you can call the 155 Police Hotline.

If you have been subjected to physical or sexual violence, you should be quickly referred to a hospital for a battering report when you apply to the police station; if not, ask for a hospital referral first. Read the report, have it corrected if there are any omissions, then sign it and get a copy.

If you have applied to the public prosecutor’s office, make at least two copies of the petition detailing the incident. Make a copy for yourself, dated and signed upon receipt of your petition.

If you have applied to the emergency department of a hospital, you can get a battering report from the doctor and file your complaint with the hospital police.

You are not helpless in the face of violence against women!
